Coney Island and Zamperla: A Match Made in New York?

News broke today that Coney Island is close to announcing a final deal with Zamperla Inc. to operate a 6 acre amusement area at the famous seaside paradise. While Zamperla is known more for building a wide variety of rides, they actually do operate several small properties across the globe, but this project would be substantially larger than those.

Sources are reporting that the deal may be for the company to operate the park for up to 10 years. I would think this would also serve as a "showroom" of sorts for the company, a live park to show off their latest and greatest.

Specifics of what will be added will come after the deal is final, but officials are saying that Zamperla's proposal was quite unique and that guests will love it. I for one am excited to see what they've come up with!
